Battle of the Vans

recently i have been looking into buying a new pair of vans, i have the classic black and white ones but looking for another pair to add to my collection, so today i bring you the battle of the vans. i have chosen between the vans canvas authentic pool green/true white and the vans canvas authentic beach glass/true white. i'm a huge fan of both of the colors, as many of you might know tiffany blue is pretty much my favorite color... i pretty much own everything in that color. but recently i have been loving the mint trend so i'm torn between the two. seeing as i'm not rolling in dough i need to make a decision so i figured why not ask you guys for some help! which pair do you think i should get?

Maybelline Color Tattoo Summer 2013 Collection

were coming up on summer and you know what that mean, new drugstore products! the ones i'm always on the lookout for is the maybelline color tattoos. I have a ridiculously large collection and i'm always willing to expand it. so when i saw on other blogs that they came out with a new collection i was all over it. this summer line is mostly duo-chromes which makes me think that these are going to go fast! i went to drugstore to drugstore to even bed bath and beyond and no luck. finally one day after class i realized i forgot to go to the rite aid on the other side of town so i quickly rushed over there and right when i walked in i saw the display and freaked! it looks like it hasn't even been touched either! i only picked up 2 of the 6 colors in the collection, but i do have one more in mind and i'm waiting for it to hit CVS because i have a coupon. 

the 2 i picked up were seashore frost and icy mint. they were both $6.99 but i saw that with a rite aid membership card i think the products were buy one get one half off, there was some sort of deal but i didn't have a card but i still wanted to buy them! i'm debating if i want cool crush and waves of white... i'm sure i'll buy one eventually. 

seashore frost is a blue/green/golden duo-chrome which i'm absolutely in love with. i knew from the start this is the one i really wanted. i love that there is a golden duo-chrome to it which makes it extremely neutral and wearable. which we all know i love neutral colors so it was love at first sight. icy mint is exactly what it sounds like a icy mint color, this color doesnt seem to have any duo-chrome to it. but i do love myself a mint green color so it could look really good along the bottom lash line as a pop of color. 

i'm also interested in the rest of the collection full of lip colors and bronzers and illuminators, i didn't look at them as intensely as i did with the color tattoos but i will be sure to my next visit. have you guys seen this collection in stores? are you guys excited for this collection? will you be picking up any colors from this collection, if so which ones? 

April Ipsy Bag - Pretty In Pink

this month i received my first ipsy bag. what a horrible month for me to get my first bag, the theme was pretty in pink... i hate the color pink. but for this little review i'm going to look past all that. first thing i noticed was there was no note card that tells me what the products are, i'm not an idiot so i can figure it out myself but one think i did like about birchbox is it had a card saying what the product is how much it was and what its used for. i'm pretty sure i didnt get the right bag because i have seen everyones bag is white and pink but i really dont mind because i love the color blue and i would actually use this bag. in my bag i got:

• sation nail polish in "of corset i'll call you"
• sexy hair soy renewal
• MICAbeauty mineral eyeshadow in earth 
• be a bombshell blush in beach please

sation nail polish is an opaque creamy light rose pink. like i have said i dont like the color pink so i will probably never use this but i know people in my family will and they will really like it. i was really happy to get the sexy hair soy renewal, i know i'm going to be ombre-ing my hair again and i have always wanted to try something with moroccan argan oil in. it is a pretty decent travel size so i'm really happy with this product. i'm also really pleased with getting the micabeauty mineral eyeshadow rather than the duo eyeshadows. before getting into beauty all i wore was mineral eyeshadows, i'm really pleased with this color as well. its a shimmery pink champagne pink, kind of reminds me of mac all that glitters which i love! so i know i will really enjoy this product, it also looks like it could be a nice highlight color once i'm really tan this summer! finally the be a bombshell blush.... its. so. pink. its a bright matte pink color, looks like something i will never wear but maybe once i get a tan i will try it but right now on my casper skin i dont think i'll be trying it. 

my overall thoughts about ipsy, i kind of love it. although i don't like the color pink i do love the size and type of products i received! before i even got my first bag i cancelled my subscription because i don't have enough money to keep these subscriptions up... but i am contemplating subscribing again already. i forgot how much i love receiving bags in the mail with new products. i know for a fact if i do want to do a subscription box/bag i will be going back to ipsy rather than birchbox. 

can i just say that the ipsy bag come in the brightest pink packaging bag i have ever seen! you wouldn't skip over this package in the mail room! 

Essie Resort Collection 2013

recently saw that the essie resort collection of 2013 came out. wasnt completely wowed by the collection but i didnt hate it either. the collection consists of 4 different nail polishes; come here, first timer, in the cab-ana, and under where?. Some of the colors remind me of colors i have seen before or at least very similar.

• come here is a bright neon coral color
• first timer is a light yet vibrant green (kinda reminds me of mojito madness but maybe a little brighter)
• in the cab-ana is an aqua blue color
• under where is a light orchid color. 

i know for a fact i'll be picking up in the cab-ana because i must own every shade of blue polish there is known to mankind. i may also pick up come here, it depends if it truly a coral color or just a bright pink. i have yet to see any of these to hit the local drugstores where i live but i'll be sure to keep an eye out for them. will you be buying any from this collection?

Wet n Wild Going in the Wild Limited Edition Palette

I have had my eye on this palette for the past couple weeks but haven't found it anywhere! finally when running into CVS with a friend i found it! i really don't have much money this month to be spending on extra goodies but i really couldn't pass this up, i mean come on the palette was only $4.99. there are 2 palettes in this wet n wild spring forward limited edition collection, going in the wild and nude awakening. normally i would have immediately bought the nude awakening palette because thats pretty much all i wear, but i couldn't pass up the mint eyeshadow in this palette! i'm sure i will end up picking up the nude awakening palette as well.

the packaging on these limited edition palettes are beautiful and sleek. they are very spring inspired. to this day i think wet n wild has the most amazing eyeshadows for a great price. these colors have an amazing color pay off, super smooth, easy to apply, and has a soft silky texture. the colors aren't overly frosty, the definer colors do have chunks of glitter in them but they aren't overly glittery. the way they have the color combinations set up is a bit confusing and i don't see how they will really work together, but who actually pays attention to the directions they actually give you. I cant wait to use these colors once spring finally comes around in my area.
