Insta Moments

why hello to you all! i know i have been pretty MIA lately but its been a pretty rough past couple weeks for me. i updated you all about my spring break which was pretty awesome! i had a lot of fun in new york! when i got back i had a couple days to spare before i went up to IUP for iupattys weekend so my mom and a couple of our friends from the beach went to a caps game. I was about 5 rows away from the ice and it was a pretty kick ass game! it was my first game in years and we won, totally crushed the other team! the next day i went up to IUP for iupattys weekend and had the best time, its always a blast to go back up to my old school and spend time with my friends. my friends there will always be my best friends and i will never forget them and always visit! when i returned home the bulldog shirt i ordered from love culture! i saw this shirt in the store but they didnt have it in my size so i went home right away to order it, it looks exactly like my dog so i figured i had to get it. now i'm just dealing with school, it has been a little rough recently. a lot of projects & papers and i'm dealing with some teacher issues. this week i have a meeting with the a very important board, dont want to say to much about it but this is the main reason i havent been posting. its really been stressing me out, hopefully after my meeting on thursday all will be back to normal. we had a snow day on monday because apparently spring in VA is when we actually get a crap ton of school! i didnt mind having the day off, i lounged around all day and caught up on some homework. i'm going home for easter so hopefully some time at home will give me time to clear my mind and really relax! i hope to be posting more so keep a look out!

i also heard google reader will no longer be available, i dont have no idea why but its what i have been reading lately. so to keep up with my blog the best way for you to do so is follow me on bloglovin'. you can keep up with me everyday by following me on instagram and twitter. i have created a separate twitter account for this blog which i update every once in awhile... i'm not really good with keeping up with it. i do have a personal one but i'm still contemplating giving that one out or not. if you guys are really interested i will give it out but if not... then i guess no need to

Spring Break in NYC

hi, let me reintroduce myself. i'm brittany and i have been missing in action! i have been so busy with traveling everywhere over spring break and then this week was my first week back at school so i'm getting back into the grove of things and i have been swamped with school work, but lets save that for another post. i thought i would share some pictures from my spring break trip to new york!

i went on the sex and the city bus tour, seeing as i am a sex and the city lover i knew i would love it! not going to lie... it was a little awkward going with my mom seeing as the first field trip we went on was to the pleasure chest where charlotte bought her first rabbit! but the tour ended at aiden and steves bar scout where we got to drink the signature cosmo! it was really interesting being able to be driven all around new york and see where things were filmed! we got to stop at where carrie and big had their rehearsal dinner for their wedding, the restaurant was absolutely gorgeous. i would suggest going on the tour if you are ever in new york and are a huge fan of the show (i think its a fairly reasonable price too)!

during a stop along the tour we stopped at magnolia bakers where carrie would always go for cupcakes and to be honest... i don't see why. they had to be the worst cupcakes i ever had! i'm not sure if any of you had gone but they really weren't that great... they tasted a little old to me. maybe we just got a bad batch but i don't think i would ever go there again for cupcakes.

also on the trip my best friend was in new york as well and we got to have tea at the plaza which was adorable! seeing as i'm such a child i got a eloise platter so it came with the most adorable child-like food and desserts. my pictures didn't turn out that well, not having auto focus on my new lens was my enemy but i decided to return the lens and buy the proper lens that goes with my camera. after tea i went to see the play chicago which was amazing! i'm always having and urge to watch the movie but going to see the play was 10 times better! we were about 6 rows back from the stage it was a blast. another night we went to the top of the rock and got to see the city at night which was an amazing view, i would definitely recommend doing that. after seeing the view of the city my best friend and i decided we wanted to go out for drinks, where else would we go besides.... the empire hotel!! a gossip girl fans dream. we sat on the rooftop lounge drinking gossip girl inspired drinks! the last day there my mom and i spend the day running around shopping, to be honest the only thing i left NYC with was a tinkerbell cup and a "thank you mood" tshirt from mood fabrics! the trip was a lot of fun but i don't think i'll be going back during the winter anytime soon. 

New York City Bound

thats right i'm currently on my way to new york city! i'll be there from today until tuesday! i have so much planned and plan on taking so many pictures! i'm sure i'll do a huge new york post that i'm pretty sure will be picture heavy. hopefully i can get the hang of this 50mm lens because right now i'm struggling actually being able to tell if it in focus! fingers crossed, i'll be sure to bring my point and shoot with me too! hope you all have an amazing saturday. 

New Goodies

I was welcomed home for spring break with these new goodies! I ordered Embryolisse Lait-Crème Concentrè (24-Hour Miracle Cream) from birchbox because I ran out of my sample and notice my skin went haywire without it. it truly in a miracle creme its so moisturizing and perfect for my skin in winter. if you guys want i would love to do a little mini review of it later if you guys would like. and finally i was talking to bailey about how i want a new lens and she recommended the nikon AF nikkor lens 50mm f/1.8D, shes not a nikon girl but she was still a ton of help. I have been messing around with it to find out that it doesn't autofocus with my cameras body (should have done more research on my part)... so its purely manual for me. i have been messing around with it for awhile and its reallllllll hard! but i realized that i took a film class my junior year in high school and again last semester and that camera didn't have autofocus and i did just fine! i'm hoping with more practice i will get better, especially for this upcoming trip to new york. but none the less i'm excited for a new lens to mess around with! 

Demi Lovato - Heart Attack

i dont even think i can explain how much i relate to this song, its unreal! none the less demi killed it with this song! i was so happy to hear she released it a few days early to ryan seacrest and then about an hour later she released it on itunes (luckily i couldn't fall asleep so i was awake to see her tweet) i immediately downloaded this song and started rocking out to it, it was almost impossible to go to sleep. i have always been a huge fan of demi's and always will be. i have also discovered this song is a great song to work out too! i cant wait for her album to come out i'm pretty sure i'll have it on repeat just like i did with her last album, you go demi keep kickin' ass! have a listen to how amazing this song is
